3.Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, whisking gently until the batter is smooth. Be careful not to overmix; lumps are okay!

4.Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with butter.

5.Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown. Repeat with the remaining batter.

6.In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and butter. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is smooth and fully melted. Alternatively, you can melt the chocolate over a double boiler on the stove.
